Quick answer: what the Pipedrive app does

• Imports the people you choose: the ones you own, everyone, or the people in one of your saved filters. You can keep them in sync every 6 hours.
• Logs each gift step as a done activity on the person and on their open deal: sent, opened, accepted, shipped, delivered, thank-you, and meeting booked or canceled.
• Sends a gift when a deal is won or reaches a stage you pick, with your approval before each one. Or it creates a one-time GG Link for the deal's person and puts the link on the deal.

The Pipedrive app is part of Gia's Giraffes Pro ($19.99 per user per month, 14-day free trial). Recipients never see a price, and you pay only for gifts that are accepted.

What you need

• A Pipedrive company account (any plan), and permission to install apps in it.
• A Gia's Giraffes account on Pro. On a team, the team's owner or an admin connects Pipedrive for everyone.

Install from the Pipedrive Marketplace

1. On the Gia's Giraffes listing in the Pipedrive Marketplace, click Install now, then Allow and Install on Pipedrive's screen.
2. Gia's Giraffes opens. If you don't have an account yet, sign up; if you're on Free, start the Pro trial from the note on the Pipedrive card.
3. Pipedrive may show its screen once more, so the connection is tied to your Gia's Giraffes account. Click Allow and Install.
4. You land in Gia's Giraffes Settings → Integrations with Pipedrive marked Connected.

You can also start from Gia's Giraffes: open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Pipedrive on the Pipedrive card.

Choose which people to import

Right after connecting, the Pipedrive card asks which people to bring in. Nothing imports until you click Import contacts.

• Contacts I own: people where you're the owner in Pipedrive. This is the default, and the safest choice in a shared company account.
• All contacts: every person in the company account you can see.
• One filter: the people in one of your saved Pipedrive people filters. Search filters by name.

Imported people appear in Contacts, marked From Pipedrive, with their organization as the company.

To change it later, pick another option in Which contacts import and click Save. Changing it never removes people that were already imported; it only decides what comes in from then on.

Configure sync and activity logging

The connected Pipedrive card has three switches and a field map:

• Keep contacts in sync: re-imports your chosen people every 6 hours. It fills blanks only and never overwrites what you edited in Gia's Giraffes.
• Log gifts to the timeline: adds a done activity on the person and their open deal for each gift step. On by default.
• Include gift values: adds the gift's value to those activities. Off by default; only the account owner can turn it on.
• Field mapping: the phone, job title and organization Gia's Giraffes uses for each person.

Use it: send a gift to a Pipedrive person

1. In Gia's Giraffes, click Send a gift and pick the person (imported Pipedrive people are in Contacts, filtered by source "Pipedrive").
2. Choose a gift, or let them choose at a budget you set, add a note or a short video, and send.
3. An activity appears on the person in Pipedrive within a minute, and on their most recently updated open deal: "Gift sent", then "opened", "accepted", "shipped", "delivered" and "thank-you" as they happen. Each one is marked done and has the gift title, who sent it and a link to the gift.

If you send to an email that isn't in Pipedrive yet, Gia's Giraffes adds the person (name and email) so the activities have somewhere to go.

What we never write to Pipedrive: the recipient's address, and the gift's value unless you turned that on. Test gifts are never written to Pipedrive.

Use it: send a gift when a deal is won or reaches a stage

1. On the Pipedrive card, click Gift when a deal reaches a stage.
2. Pick the pipeline and the stage, for example "Proposal made", or Won to gift when the deal is won.
3. Choose what happens: send a specific gift, let them choose at a budget, or create a one-time GG Link for the deal's person. Optionally ask them to book a meeting before the gift ships.
4. Keep I approve each one on (the default) to get a heads-up and approve each send, or turn it off to send automatically.

Gia's Giraffes checks Pipedrive for deal changes every 10 minutes, so a gift can take up to 10 minutes to start after a deal moves. Each deal triggers once per stage. The gift goes to the deal's person, who is added to your contacts if needed. When the rule creates a GG Link, the link is added to that deal as a done activity, so whoever owns the deal can copy it from there.

Disconnect Pipedrive

In Gia's Giraffes, open Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect on the Pipedrive card. On a team, only the owner or an admin can.

Disconnecting:

• Uninstalls the app from your Pipedrive company: Gia's Giraffes revokes its access, which removes it from your installed apps.
• Deletes the Pipedrive connection and its stored access from Gia's Giraffes, along with any activities still waiting to be written.
• Turns off deal-stage automations on Pipedrive. They show as "Paused" with the reason on the Automations list.
• Keeps what's already there: people already imported stay in Gia's Giraffes, and activities already written stay in Pipedrive.

You can connect again at any time.

Uninstall from Pipedrive

You can also remove the app from inside Pipedrive: Tools and apps → Installed apps → Gia's Giraffes → Uninstall.

Pipedrive tells Gia's Giraffes right away. The Pipedrive connection and its stored access are deleted, and deal-stage automations on Pipedrive are paused with the reason, exactly as with Disconnect. Imported people and existing activities stay.

Your data

• Gia's Giraffes reads only the people you choose, and writes only gift activities and new people for those you send gifts to.
• The Pipedrive access token is stored encrypted in a secrets vault and is never shown in the app.
• To delete your imported people, select them in Contacts and delete them, or delete your Gia's Giraffes account. Our privacy policy has the details.

FAQ

Do I need Pro?

Yes. The Pipedrive app is part of Pro, which has a 14-day free trial. If you downgrade, the connection is paused and nothing is deleted; upgrading again resumes it.

Will it overwrite my Pipedrive data?

No. Gia's Giraffes never changes existing people, organizations or deals. It adds activities, and adds a person only when you send a gift to an email Pipedrive doesn't have.

Why does Won appear as a stage?

In Pipedrive, won is a deal status rather than a stage. Gia's Giraffes lists it at the end of each pipeline so you can gift when a deal is won.

Can two people connect the same Pipedrive company?

One Pipedrive company connects to one Gia's Giraffes account or team. On a team, the owner or an admin connects it once and every teammate's gifts log to it.
